HIPAA Privacy Notice: The group health plans administered by the Joint Board and described on this site provide health benefits (i.e. medical, dental, vision, and prescription) that are subject to the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (“HIPAA”), which generally prescribes the terms for use and disclosure of protected health information (“PHI”) and electronic PHI (“ePHI”). Although the plans subject to HIPAA provide the privacy notice directly to you, as required, this site also contains the Privacy Notice.
